Rumors, Nobody 2, Devil Women and Witches

Fleetwood Mac
As you know, I'm at the forefront of culture. I also have my finger on the pulse of music, so it's only natural that I bring to you this deep cut album from the archives for you to check out.

It's by this outfit called Fleetwood Mac, and the album is Rumors. So obviously everyone already knows this album, and I was mostly familiar with the various songs by osmosis. Lately though, I've been trying to listen to albums as whole pieces rather than a collection of singles and boy is this one something. So I don't know a lot about what was going on behind the scenes, but I understand it was tumultuous, and that certainly comes through in the music. I'm no music critic so I can't speak to what makes good music good but I feel this one. Stand outs are Secondhand News, The Chain, Never Going Back Again, and Oh Daddy. But really they're all great songs. Except for one. Don't Stop can go directly to hell. That's an immediate skip
Anyway, I hope Lindsey and Stevie are able to work out their differences so they can tour together and charge $1000 a ticket.
Also, if they ever do a movie about these guys, I think Mia Goth should probably play Stevie.

Nobody 2

Look, I respect the ambition. Putting Bob as the lead in an ultraviolent action movie is a big ask. I really appreciate that they did that. I meant to watch the first one in the theater, but never got around to it. Planned on watching it at home before we went to see part 2, but never got around to it. I'm sure there's lots of weird lore and backstory I'm missing out on, but truthfully, I'm good. I think I've had enough of what this kinda low low-rent world is offering. This movie... wasn't for me. I guess I need more than the gimmick of "it's Bob Odenkirk kicking ass" for 2 hours. Look, I love Bob, and I'm happy to give just about anything he does a chance, but Nobody 2 was just not a vibe I dig. Watching Christopher Lloyd was just like a wasted, unfunny, and uncomfortable experience. I think they were going for Bruce Dern in The 'Burbs kind of energy, but not getting there because Bruce Dern was brilliant in The 'Burbs.
There were a few chuckles and a couple of cool moments that I won't spoil. This movie was just a little bit too impressed with itself, considering how little it actually accomplished. Not for me.
Devil Girls
Over the years, I've collected several reference packs from various sources. Either free or I've paid for a few, but never really got the inspiration to use them for much. I've drawn a few, but only as needed. I needed a picture of a person standing a certain way, so I would look for a reference photo, and sometimes I'd find one.
Anyway, after seeing what comic book artist Richard Pace has done with his Witches and Devil Dame series.

Anyway, my point in bringing these up is that I've been using those reference photos as the basis for a series of my own Devil Women series. Not copying Richard exactly, but putting my own spin on the idea of drawing a series of pictures of a kind of model character, in my style, painterly and increasingly more interesting and complex.
I want to share them, but they're all very nakers and so I'm gonna put them on their own page that you can choose to look at or not!

I'm really enjoying drawing these, and I think I can do something worthwhile with what I'm learning in the process. I could draw fantasy elements or D&D characters, or people's OCs from their books and games and stuff. I think I could be good at that. I've done it for my own characters before.

Like this drawing I did of Charlie in my book, Danny. Yeah, I could get into that. I'm gonna keep practicing and start drawing some other things, besides naked devil women. Maybe naked devil guys or my own naked witches or naked vampires or clothed people... I guess. Where's the fun in that, though? I thought about starting a Patreon or something. I dunno. Just something I'm tossing around.
Alright, that's gonna about do it for me for today! I've got Jaws coming in the IMAX at the end of the week, but that's a million days away! Until then, keep your toast buttered and butt toastered.
